We still have a Pamphlet page, which has a selection of useful Hints and Guidelines. While all Members will get the “Welcome Pack” on joining, I would again ask that all Members familiarise themselves with the Rules - specifically Bidding boxes and Etiquette. You should all re-acquaint yourselves with the responsibilities around scoring Boards, and completing the hand - especially with the replacement of the cards, c/f note above and recent results... Also, the new CBAI information sheet is very important, as it clarifies the requirements for - and differences between - Alerts and Announcements. The Club meets every Wednesday afternoon in Shannon Golf Club, play starting at 2.00. We welcome all visitors at any skill level, and we will always arrange a partner for anybody who wishes to arrive alone. Cost to visitors is a mere €12.50pp. Contact Jimmy on +353 86 8349155 for further details on Non-Member play arrangements. Members can also contact the President (Ailish) on 086-1601043 should you find yourself needing a temporary partner for a session. Note that the T’s & C’s for these arrangements are in the Minutes of the 2014/2015 AGM - c/f Committee Page. Every Monday morning at 10am, in the same venue, there are lessons for all from absolute beginners through to those who feel their game needs honing - or indeed some reawakening! We also ‘review’ interesting hands from previous Wednesdays in the “Hands of the Week” page. See the About page for further details on the Club and it’s history. There’s a few new additions (in Red) to the Hands of the Week pages from the Summer that may wake up the old grey matter. All the recent Weekly Results are available for download in the Results Page.
Rineanna Bridge Club
We’re Baaack!! Bridge has resumed on Wednesday afternoons in Shannon Golf Club. Results for the first two weeks are here and will be posted on our WhatsApp page shortly. Membership subscriptions - now €20 - are due for the 2023-2024 Season before end of November. As agreed at the AGM, we will continue allowing the weekly table money subsidise Membership until the end of October. There is a page with a selection of pictures from The Presidents Dinner. (I’ve tried to make them as non-embarrassing as I could!!) Please God we soon see a return to 'normality'! The Committee decided that we simply roll the 2019/2020 Membership over until September 2022. This will facilitate all members being able to play in the upcoming ‘Majors’, still subject, of course, to having played on at least 3 occasions in the Club.
